-เรื่องความมั่นคง ประเทศไทยเป็นผู้มีบทบาทสำคัญในการร่วมสนับสนุนให้มีการประกาศ ปฎิญญากำหนดให้ภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้เป็นเขตแห่งสันติภาพ เสรีภาพ และความเป็นกลาง (Zone of Peace,Freedom and Neutrality หรือ ZOPFAN)
