การวิจัยในครั้งนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงสำรวจมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาคุณสมบัตินักบัญชีที่พึงประสงค์ ของนักศึกษาบัญชี มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีราชมงคลอีสาน วิทยาเขตสุรินทร์ กลุ่มตัวอย่างเป็นนักศึกษาบัญชีมหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีราชมงคลอีสาน วิทยาเขตสุรินทร์ จำนวน 95 คน การวิจัยครั้งนี้กำหนดขอบเขตไว้ดังนี้ คือ นักศึกษาบัญชี มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีราชมงคลอีสาน วิทยาเขตสุรินทร์ จำนวนทั้งสิ้น 125 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลเป็นแบบสอบถามประกอบด้วย 2 ตอน ดังนี้ ตอนที่ 1 ปัจจัยส่วนบุคคล ของผู้ตอบแบบสอบถาม ตอนที่2 ความคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับคุณสมบัตินักบัญชีของนักศึกษาบัญชี มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีราชมงคลอีสาน วิทยาเขตสุรินทร์ ประกอบด้วย 5 ด้าน ได้แก่ ด้านจรรยาบรรณนักบัญชี ด้านคุณสมบัติเฉพาะตัว ด้านความรู้ความสามารถทางการบัญชี ด้านความรู้ความสามารถที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการบัญชีและภาษา ด้านองค์กร
ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ผู้ตอบแบบสอบถามมีความคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับคุณสมบัตินักบัญชีบัญชีที่พึงประสงค์ของนักศึกษาบัญชี มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีราชมงคลอีสาน วิทยาเขตสุรินทร์ มากที่สุด คือ คุณสมบัติด้านจรรยาบรรณนักบัญชี ร้อยละ (x ̅ =4.52) 2) มีความคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับคุณสมบัติด้านคุณสมบัติเฉพาะตัวของนักบัญชี มาก (x ̅=4.24) 3)มีความคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับคุณสมบัติด้านองค์กร (x ̅=4.21) 4)มีความคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับคุณสมบัติด้านความสามารถทางการบัญชี (x ̅=4.07) 5) มีความคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับคุณสมบัติด้านด้านความรู้และความสามารถ(x ̅=4.01)
