(1) สนับสนุนและพัฒนาวิชาการและเทคโนโลยีพื้นบ้านอันได้แก่ การแพทย์แผนไทย เภสัช กรรมแผนไทย การนวดไทย สมุนไพร และเทคโนโลยีพื้นบ้าน เพื่อใช้ประโยชน์ในการแก้ไขปัญหา สุขภาพของชุมชน
