The purpose of this paper is to develop a communication node between PLC and ROS based on Modbus TCP/IP protocol, to realize the integration with industrial manipulator and other devices based on Modbus TCP/IP protocol, and to apply ROS to a variety of devices, so as to make it flexible, such as the integration of camera and PLC. Using Python language to develop the communication node and control of industrial manipulator with PLC input and output.<br>The test results show that the developed node can realize the communication between PLC and ROS through data acquisition and transmission test, the application of industrial manipulator control and the introduction of AruCo detection camera to PLC output task. The functions of Modbus TCP/IP protocol have been tested for 30 times, and the data acquisition and transmission speed is less than 60 milliseconds.
