วัตถุประสงค์การดำเนินโครงการ
๑. เพื่อสนับสนุนและส่งเสริม ให้มีการอนุรักษ์พลังงานและการใช้พลังงาน ตามแนวทางพระราชดำริเศรษฐกิจพอเพียง เรื่องพลังงานทดแทน
๒. เพื่อจัดตั้งเป็นศูนย์การเรียนรู้ การผลิตพลังงานทดแทนให้คำแนะนำ ขั้นตอนการดำเนินการ ให้กับกำลังพลของหน่วย ครอบครัว, เยาวชน ที่พักอาศัยในหน่วย, ชุมชนในพื้นที่รับผิดชอบของหน่วย และส่วนราชการต่างๆ
๓. เพื่อส่งเสริมความรู้และปลูกจิตสำนึกให้แก่ กำลังพล และ ครอบครัวตลอดจน บุคคล ,เยาวชน ที่พักอาศัยในหน่วยและชุมชนในพื้นที่รับผิดชอบของหน่วย ให้รู้และทราบว่าน้ำมันพืชที่ได้ผ่านการปรุงอาหารสามารถนำมาเป็นวัตถุดิบในการผลิต น้ำมันไบโอดีเซลได้
๔. เพื่อศึกษาหาข้อมูลว่ามีข้อดี-ข้อเสียของน้ำมัน ไบโอดีเซล หรือเปรียบเทียบกับน้ำมันดีเซลที่มีขายตามท้องตลาด
๕. เพื่อให้สามารถผลิตน้ำมัน ไบโอดีเซลได้เองเพื่อนำมาใช้กับรถยนต์ของทางราชการ
๖. พื่อจำหน่ายให้กับประชาชน / ชุมชนรอบค่ายในราคาที่ถูกกว่าราคาตลาด
