การศึกษาครั้งนี้เป็นการศึกษาแบบสำรวจ เพื่อศึกษาถึงความรู้ เจตคติ และพฤติกรรมการป้องกันตนเองจากโรคไข้เลือดออกของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 1-3 โรงเรียนมัธยมพุทธเกษตรวัดโนนเมือง อำเภอขามสะแกแสง จังหวัดนครราชสีมา กลุ่มตัวอย่าง คือ นักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 1-3 จำนวน 54 คน เก็บข้อมูลโดยใช้แบบสอบถาม ประกอบไปด้วย แบบสอบถามข้อมูลทั่วไป แบบทดสอบความรู้เรื่องโรคไข้เลือดออก แบบสอบถามวัดเจตคติและพฤติกรรมต่อโรคไข้เลือดออก วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้สถิติเชิงพรรณนา ได้แก่ ความถี่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐานและฐานนิยมและใช้การทดสอบค่าสัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์แบบเพียร์สัน เพื่อหาความสัมพันธ์และทิศทางความสัมพันธ์ของตัวแปร
ผลการศึกษาพบว่า
1.ข้อมูลทั่วไป ส่วนใหญ่เป็นเพศชายคิดเป็นร้อยละ53.7 ส่วนใหญ่เป็นนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 2 คิดเป็นร้อยละ38.9 มีอายุ อายุเฉลี่ย 8.06 ปี ภูมิลำเนาอยู่จังหวัดนครราชสีมา คิดเป็นร้อยละ 87 เป็นชาวพื้นราบคิดเป็นร้อยละ 87 เป็นนักเรียนไปกลับ คิดเป็นร้อยละ 85.2 บิดามารดาอยู่ด้วยกัน คิดเป็นร้อยละ 81.5 อาศัยอยู่กับบิดามารดาคิดเป็นร้อยละ 59.3 และผู้ปกครองนักเรียนส่วนใหญ่ทำอาชีพทำนา ทำสวน ทำไร่ เลี้ยงสัตว์คิดเป็นร้อยละ59.3
2.ด้านความรู้เกี่ยวกับโรคไข้เลือดออกของนักเรียนโดยรวมอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง คิดเป็นร้อยละ 61.1 รองลงมาอยู่ในระดับดีคิดเป็นร้อยละ38.9 ตามลำดับ
3.ด้านเจตคติเกี่ยวกับโรคไข้เลือดออกของนักเรียนโดยรวมอยู่ในระดับดีคิดเป็นร้อยละ70.4 รองลงมาอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง คิดเป็นร้อยละ29.6ตามลำดับ
4.ด้านพฤติกรรมการป้องกันตนเองจากโรคไข้เลือดออกของนักเรียนโดยรวมอยู่ในระดับดี คิดเป็นร้อยละ70.4 รองลงมาอยู่ในระดับปลานกลาง คิดเป็นร้อยละ27.8และอยู่ในระดับ ต่ำคิดเป็นร้อยละ1.9 ตามลำดับ
ผลการหาความสัมพันธ์พบว่า ความรู้เกี่ยวกับโรคไข้เลือดออกไม่มีความสัมพันธ์กับพฤติกรรมการป้องกันตนเองจากโรคไข้เลือดออกของนักเรียน แต่เจตคติเกี่ยวกับโรคไข้เลือดออกของนักเรียนมีความสัมพันธ์ทางบวกกับพฤติกรรมการป้องกันตนเองจากโรคไข้เลือดออกของนักเรียนในระดับปานกลาง (r = .354) อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (p=.004)
