งานวิจัยนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์คือ 1. เพื่อวิเคราะห์ความคาดหวังของผู้เรียนวิชาสุนทรียศาสตร์แห่งภาพยนตร์ ที่มีต่อการจัดการเรียนการสอนแบบปฏิบัติ 2. เพื่อศึกษาแนวทางรูปแบบการเรียนการสอนแบบปฏิบัติ และนำมาใช้ในการเรียนการสอนด้านภาพยนตร์ในอนาคต 3. เพื่อศึกษาข้อเสนอแนะ และทัศนะของผู้เรียนวิชาสุนทรียศาสตร์แห่งภาพยนตร์ ต่อรูปแบบการเรียนการสอนแบบปฏิบัติ โดยทำการสัมภาษณ์เจาะลึกผู้เรียนวิชาสุนทรียศาสตร์แห่งภาพยนตร์ จำนวน 20 คน ผลการศึกษาพบว่า รูปแบบการเรียนการสอนที่เน้นการปฏิบัตินั้นสามารถนำมาใช้ในการเรียนการสอนด้านสุนทรียศาสตร์แห่งภาพยนตร์ ได้ เพราะเป็นรูปแบบที่มีความเป็นอิสระในการเรียนค่อนข้างสูงและทำให้ผู้เรียนได้พูดคุยกับผู้สอนมากขึ้น โดยผู้เรียนมีความคาดหวังว่าการเรียนการสอนที่เน้นปฏิบัติ ในอนาคตต้องมีการวางแผนรูปแบบการเรียนการสอนที่ชัดเจน เพื่อความเหมาะสมของเนื้อหา และควรเพิ่มวิธีการเรียนการสอนให้มีความหลากหลายมากขึ้นโดยการเชิญบุคลากรด้านภาพยนตร์มาให้ความรู้และแนวคิดในการทำงานด้านภาพยนตร์
