เมื่อพิจารณาด่านศุลกากรที่มีมูลค่าการค้าชายแดนในปี 2556 มากกว่า 1 หมื่นล้านบาทต่อปี พบว่ามีจำนวน 2 แห่ง ได้แก่

1) อันดับที่ 1 จุดผ่านแดน-ด่านศุลกากรอรัญประเทศ มีมูลค่าการค้าสูงเป็นอันดับ 4 ของประเทศ โดยในปี2556 มีมูลค่าการค้า 59,652 ล้านบาท เพิ่มขึ้นจากปี 2555 ร้อยละ 18.3 สำหรับการส่งออกและนำเข้าในช่วงปี 2555-2556 มีดังนี้
(1) การส่งออกเพิ่มขึ้นร้อยละ 14.8 โดยสินค้าส่งออกสำคัญ ได้แก่ เครื่องยนต์สันดาปภายในแบบลูกสูบและส่วนประกอบ เครื่องสำอาง เครื่องหอมและสบู่
(2) การนำเข้าเพิ่มขึ้นร้อยละ 36.0 โดยสินค้านำเข้าสำคัญ ได้แก่ เหล็ก อลูมิเนียมและผลิตภัณฑ์ และทองแดงและผลิตภัณฑ์
