กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการศึกษาวิจัยครั้งนี้ ได้แก่ นักศึกษาที่พักอาศัยในหอพักมหาวิทยาลัยพะเยา ปีการศึกษา 2558 จำนวน 123 คน โดยการเปิดตารางสาเร็จรูปของเครจซี่และมอรแกน (Krejcie&Morgan, 1970 อางใน ธีรวุฒิ เอกะกุล, 2543) ทำการสุ่มตัวอย่างแบบบังเอิญ (Accidental Sampling)
