The aim of this research was first to test a framework for the relationship between knowledge worker satisfaction and organizational culture within a specific industry, specifically the pharmaceutical industry. Second, to determine what type of organizational structure is appropriate for working in the industry being studied. The author draws on multiple case study research and conducts the work using semi-structured interviews. The interview participants will be people in the R&D business line of each company. over a two-month period between May and June 2009
