การปฏิรูปการเรียนการสอนภาษาอังกฤษต้

การปฏิรูปการเรียนการสอนภาษาอังกฤษต้องเริ่มจากการกำหนดหลักสูตรโครงสร้างรายวิชาเพิ่มเติมของสถานศึกษา และควรใช้หลักสูตรที่ผ่านการวิจัยจริงจากเจ้าของภาษามาใช้ในการเรียนการสอนให้กับผู้เรียน ตลอดจนการนำรูปแบบการจัดการเรียนการสอนแบบสอนภาษาไทยควบคู่ภาษาอังกฤษ หรือที่เรียกว่า English Bilingual Education (EBE) ซึ่งวิธีการดังกล่าวจะช่วยเพิ่มโอกาสให้เด็กได้พัฒนาการเรียนรู้ด้านคำศัพท์ ทักษะการฟัง การพูด การอ่าน และการเขียนภาษาอังกฤษได้ดีขึ้น โดยมีวิธีการปฏิรูปการเรียนการสอนให้เกิดเป็นรูปธรรม ดังนี้
1. ปรับเนื้อหาที่เรียนในชั้นให้ตรงกับการนำไปใช้ในชีวิตจริง
2. ผู้เรียนควรรู้คำศัพท์ที่ใช้ได้จริงในชีวิตประจำวัน และฝึกทักษะการฟัง การอ่าน และการออกเสียงตามหลักเจ้าของภาษา
3. ส่งเสริมให้ครูผู้สอนมีความรู้ ความเข้าใจ และความสามารถในการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษอยู่ในระดับสูง
4. ส่งเสริมการใช้ ICT และการพัฒนานวัตกรรมการเรียนการสอน
5. เพิ่มเวลาเรียน และมีระบบสอบวัดระดับความรู้ความสามารถภาษาอังกฤษตามมาตรฐานสากล
6. จัดกลไกขับเคลื่อนที่เข้มงวดและคอยช่วยเหลือสนับสนุน นิเทศ ติดตามการจัดการเรียนรู้ EBE
