การ ลงทุน หมายถึงการมอบเงินหรือทรัพย์สินให้ผู้หนึ่งไปดำเนินการค้าขายหรือประกอบ ธุรกิจที่ชอบด้วยหลักการพร้อมกับได้กำหนดส่วนแบ่งผลกำไรและการขาดทุนไว้ใน สัญญา ซึ่งเป็นที่อนุมัติในอิสลาม ดังที่ท่านศาสดาได้ทำการค้าขายให้กับนางคอดียะฮฺ และบรรดาสาวกก็ได้ลงมติอย่างเป็นเอกฉันท์เช่นนั้น พระองค์อัลลอฮฺทรงห้ามการสะสมเงินทองโดยไม่นำมาทำประโยชน์หรือนำมาลงทุน หรือมิได้จับจ่ายใช้ไปในหนทางของอัลลอฮฺ เช่น การบริจาคทาน เป็นต้น พร้อมกันนี้ เขาก็จะได้รับโทษทัณฑ์อย่างแสนสาหัสจากพระองค์อีกด้วย และพระองค์อัลลอฮฺ ตรัสว่า
