จากการวิเคราะห์ที่ได้จากผู้วิจัยพบว่าจากการตั้งสมมติฐานไว้ว่า การออกเสียงหรือการ stress เสียงในคำภาษาอังกฤษของนิสิตชั้นปีที่ 4 สาขาภาษาอังกฤษต้องมีความถูกต้องมากกว่าผิดซึ่งเป็นไปตามเป้าหมายที่ตั้งไว้ ผลการวิจัยสนับสนุนสมมติฐานนี้จะเห็นได้ว่าในการทำแบบทดสอบนิสิตจะมีการออกเสียงไปพร้อมๆกับการลงมือทำแบบทดสอบที่ได้รับมอบหมายไปซึ่งจะส่งผลดีในการใช้รูปแบบการเน้นเสียงพยางค์ของคำภาษาอังกฤษที่ได้เลือกมาทั้งหมด 20 คำ โดยใช้กับกลุ่มเป้าหมาย 20 คน ในระดับคำภาษาอังกฤษที่ได้เลือกมาเป็นคำที่นิสิตเคยเรียนมาแล้วในรายวิชาภาษาศาสตร์ ในการทำแบบทดสอบครั้งนี้จะเลือกคำเพียงแค่ 2 พยางค์ และให้นิสิตเลือกว่าคำเหล่านั้นมีการ stress เสียงที่ตำแหน่งที่ 1หรือ 2 โดยกลุ่มเป้าหมายได้ตอบโจทย์ได้ดี คือนิสิตจำนวนมากเลือกการออกเสียงที่ถูกต้องมากกว่าการออกเสียงผิด ทั้งนี้อาจมีผลมาจากการเรียนรู้คำจากการเรียนในชีวิตประจำวันจากรายวิชาต่างๆที่เกี่ยวข้องกับภาษาอังกฤษที่มีการเรียนการสอนการใช้กฎการเน้นเสียง
