คำนำ

การจัดการเรียนรู้ภาษาต่างประเทศในปัจจุบัน ได้ทวีความสำคัญมากยิ่งขึ้นตามการเปลี่ยนแปลงของเทคโนโลยีต่างๆที่ล้วนแล้วแต่มีอิทธิพลต่อชีวิตประจำวันของทุกคน ทำให้พฤติกรรมด้านสังคมได้เปลี่ยนแปลงไปอย่างรวดเร็วด้วยเช่นกัน ผู้เรียนจำเป็นจะต้องได้รับการดูแล เลี้ยงดูและให้ได้รับการศึกษาจนสามารถพัฒนาตนเองให้มีคุณภาพเทียบเคียงกับพลโลก (World Citizen)ในการจัดการเรียนรู้ภาษาอังกฤษนับเป็นภารกิจที่สำคัญยิ่งสำหรับครูผู้สอน ที่จะต้องมุ่งเน้นการจัดกระบวนการเรียนรู้เพื่อพัฒนาผู้เรียนให้มีคุณลักษณะพึงประสงค์(Learner Profile) เทียบ-เคียงมาตรฐานสากล (World Class Standard) นั่นคือต้องจัดกระบวนการเรียนรู้เพื่อให้ผู้เรียนได้Learn to know , Learn to be , Learn to do, ในฐานะพลเมืองของชาติ และ Learn to livetogether ในฐานะพลโลก
ดังนั้น เทคนิคการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อตอบสนองจุดประสงค์ดังกล่าวนอกจากจะต้องเน้นฝึกทักษะการสื่อสาร การบูรณาการคิด การเรียนรู้แบบร่วมมือ การสร้างองค์-ความรู้ด้วยตัวเอง การสืบเสาะหาความรู้ การบูรณาการแบบองค์รวมแล้ว ควรจะเน้นการฝึกมารยาทวัฒนธรรมที่เป็นมาตรฐานสากลไปพร้อมๆกันด้วย
