พระราชวังบวรสถานพิมุข หรือ วังหลัง คือ วังของสมเด็จเจ้าฟ้ากรมพระอนุรักษ์เทเวศร์ กรมพระราชวังบวรสถานภิมุข ซึ่งทรงเป็น กรมพระราชวังบวรสถานภิมุข ในรัชกาลที่ ๑ สร้างขึ้นที่ตำบลสวนลิ้นจี่ ตั้งแต่เมื่อครั้งยังดำรงพระยศเป็น สมเด็จเจ้าฟ้ากรมหลวงอนุรักษ์เทเวศน์ ถือว่าเป็นพระราชนิเวศน์เดิมของพระองค์ท่าน พื้นที่ดังกล่าวนี้ มีขอบเขตทางทิศเหนือจรดกำแพงเมืองธนบุรีเดิม ทางทิศใต้จรดฉางเกลือ

คณะกรรมการสร้างโรงพยาบาลศิริราชได้ขอพระราชทานที่แปลงใต้ คือ วังกรมหมื่นนราเทเวศน์ มาเป็นพื้นที่สำหรับสร้างโรงพยาบาล ต่อมา โรงพยาบาลศิริราชได้ขยายออกไปจนเกือบเต็มวังหลัง โดยได้รับพระราชทานพื้นที่เพิ่มเติมบ้าง เวนคืนด้วยเงินงบประมาณบ้าง ส่วนเขตวังหลังส่วนเหนือซึ่งเป็นที่ของสถานีรถไฟธนบุรี ทางโรงพยาบาลศิริราชเพิ่งได้รับกรรมสิทธิ์เพิ่มเติมอีก ๓๐ ไร่ เมื่อปี พ.ศ. ๒๕๔๗ เพื่อพัฒนาเป็นสถาบันการแพทย์ชั้นเลิศในเอเชียอาคเนย์
