การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อพัฒนาคู่มือและประเมินความเหมาะสมของคู่มือแหล่งเรียนรู้จังหวัดสุราษฎร์ธานีสำหรับสถานศึกษาขั้นพื้นฐานมีเนื้อหาประกอบด้วย 4 ประเภทได้แก่ ประเภทบุคคล ประเภทสถานที่ ประเภทวัฒนธรรมประเพณี และประเภททรัพยากรธรรมชาติ กลุ่มตัวอย่าง 70 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นแบบประเมินความสอดคล้องของโครงร่างคู่มือ การตรวจสอบความตรงเชิงเนื้อหา (IOC)และแบบประเมินความเหมาะสมของคู่มือครู โดยใช้สถิติพื้นฐานได้แก่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ยและส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน
ผลการวิจัยพบว่า คู่มือแหล่งเรียนรู้จังหวัดสุราษฎร์ธานีสำหรับการศึกษาขั้นพื้นฐานมีความถูกต้องเหมาะสมในระดับมากที่สุด และมีความสอดคล้องเท่ากับ 0.93 และผลการประเมินความเหมาะสมของคู่มือครู เรื่องแหล่งเรียนรู้จังหวัดสุราษฎร์ธานีสำหรับสถานศึกษาขั้นพื้นฐาน พบว่าคู่มือครูมีความเหมาะสมอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด
