ศักราชอิสลาม

ที่มาและความสำคัญของศักราชอิสลาม หรือฮิจเราะฮ์ศักราชถือเอาการอพยพของท่านนะบีมุฮัมมัด และบรรดาผู้ที่เข้ารับนับถือศาสนาอิสลาม เมื่อ 1430 ปีที่ผ่านมา โดยอพยพย้ายจากการพำนักที่นครมักกะห์สู่นครมะดีนะห์ ซึ่งเดิมเรียกว่า “ยัษริบ” ต่อมาเปลี่ยนชื่อเป็นมะดีนะตุนนบี เรียกสั้นๆ ว่า “มะดีนะห์” ซึ่งเป็นการย้ายถิ่นที่อยู่จากสถานที่ที่มีบรรยากาศแห่งการต่อต้านและทำลาย ล้างอิสลาม โดยชาวนครมักกะห์มาสู่บรรยากาศแห่งความเอื้ออารี ความมีภารดรภาพเดียวกันระหว่างชาวเมืองมะดีนะห์ที่มีจิตใจเต็มเปี่ยมด้วย ความศรัทธาที่จะรับนับถือศาสนาอิสลาม กับชาวมักกะห์ผู้อพยพ
ทั้งนี้เนื่องจากการที่ท่านนะบีมุฮัมมัด ใช้เวลาในการเทศนาเผยแผร่เชิญชวนชาวมักกะห์ให้ศรัทธาในคำสอนของอัลลอฮ์ผู้ เป็นพระเจ้าที่แท้จริง เพื่อให้หันกลับมายึดมั่นศรัทธาและประพฤติปฏิบัติตามแนวทางอิสลาม ละทิ้งการเคารพบูชาเจว็ด (รูปปั้น รูปเคารพ รูปสักการะ) และสิ่งงมงายต่างๆ ที่มนุษย์สร้างขึ้นมาเพื่อแสวงหาประโยชน์ให้แก่ตัวเองและพวกพ้อง ซึ่งท่านได้รับการต่อต้านจากชาวมักกะห์อย่างรุนแรงมาก ถูกข่มเหงรังแกจากชาวมักกะห์ที่เคารพบูชาเจว็ดต่างๆ จนในที่สุดมีการปองร้ายหมายเอาชีวิตของท่านนะบีมุฮัมมัด เพราะชาวมักกะห์ที่เป็นผู้ปฏิเสธศรัทธาเห็นว่า ศาสนาอิสลามกำลังจะแผ่ขยายมากขึ้นในมักกะห์ จึงพยายามจะทำร้ายถึงขั้นเอาชีวิตของท่านนะบีมุฮัมมัด
ดังนั้นอัลลอฮ์ จึงฮิดายะห์ให้ท่านนะบีมุฮัมมัด อพยพบรรดามุสลิมไปยังเมืองยัษริบ หรือเมื่องมะดีนะห์ ตามที่พระองค์ทรงตรัสไว้ในอัลกุรอาน ซูเราะห์อั้ลอัมฟาลอายะห์ที่ 30 มีความหมายโดยสรุป ว่า“เมื่อบรรดาผู้ปฏิเสธศรัทธา ที่เนรคุณได้ว่างแผนเพื่อกักกันเจ้าไว้ หรือฆ่าเจ้า หรือขับไล่เจ้าเพื่อไม่ให้มีโอกาสเผยแพร่ศาสนาอิสลาม แต่อัลลอฮ์ ได้ทรงวางแผนที่ประเสริฐยิ่งกว่าแผนใดๆ ทั้งมวล”คือ ให้ท่านนะบีมูฮัมมัด อพยพไปมะดีนะห์ ซึ่งในการอพยพดังกล่าวนี้ ชาวมะดีนะห์ได้มีการติดต่อท่านนะบีมูฮัมมัด มาก่อนหน้าที่จะอพยพแล้ว และมีแนวโน้มว่าชาวเมืองมะดีนะห์จะเจ้ารับนับถือศาสนาอิสลามเป็นจำนวนมาก เมื่อมีการอพยพสู่นครมะดีนะห์ ได้มีการช่วยเหลือกันระหว่างชาวเมืองมะดีนะห์ เรียกว่า “อันศ๊อร” (ผู้ช่วยเหลือ) กับผู้อพยพที่เรียกว่า “มูฮาญิรีน” ท่านนะบีมุฮัมมัด ได้ใช้ชีวิตในเมืองมะดีนะห์ เพื่อเผยแผ่อิสลามเป็นเวลา 10 ปี

ศักราชของอิสลามใช้คำว่าฮิจเราะห์ศักราช ใช้ตัวอักษรย่อว่า “ฮ.ศ.” คำว่า ฮิจเราะฮ์ หมายถึง “การอพยพ” คือ การอพยพของท่านนะบีมุฮัมมัด และบรรดามุสลิมจากเมืองมักกะห์สู่เมืองมะดีนะห์ หลังจากที่ท่านนะบีมุฮัมมัด ได้เสียชีวิต ท่านเคาะลีฟะฮ์อุมัร อิบนุคอฎฎ็อบ ผู้ปกครองอาณาจักรอิสลามคนที่สองต่อจากท่านอบูบักร์ ได้ปรึกษากันว่า อิสลามควรจะต้องมีการนับศักราชเพื่อใช้ในการกำหนดวัน เดือน ปี เช่นเดียวกับคริสตศักราช แต่การเริ่มศักราชของอิสลามจะเริ่มเมื่อใดนั้น ได้มีบรรดาอัครสาวกที่ใกล้ชิดของท่านนะบีมุฮัมมัด และบรรดาผู้นับถือศาสนาอิสลามในเวลานั้นเสนอแนวทางในการกำหนดศักราชอิสลาม 4 แนวทางด้วยกัน คือ

2. เสนอให้ถือเอาปีที่ท่านนะบีมุฮัมมัด เริ่มเผยแพร่ศาสนาอิสลาม เป็นปีเริ่มต้นศักราช
3. เสนอให้ถือเอาปีที่ท่านนะบีมุฮัมมัด อพยพจากเมืองมักกะห์สู่เมืองมะดีนะห์ เป็นปีเริ่มต้นศักราช
4. เสนอให้ถือเอาปีที่ท่านนะบีมุฮัมมัด เสียชีวิต เป็นปีเริ่มต้น ศักราช
