เช้าวันที่ 8 กันยายน 2016 ฉันรีบตื่นแต่เช้า ทำธุระส่วนตัว เตรียมของที่จะไปทัศนศึกษา ฉันมาถึงโรงเรียนประมาณ 6.40 และรถออกประมาณ 7.30 เราใช้เวลาเดินทางประมาณหนึ่งชั่วโมงครึ่ง ที่แรกที่เราจะไปในวันนี้คือสวนจิตรลดาเป็นโครงการที่พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวได้ทรงริเริ่มดำเนินการทดลองการแปรรูปผลิตผลการเกษตรขึ้น โดยเสด็จพระราชดำเนินไปทรงเยี่ยมพสกนิกรในพื้นที่ต่าง ๆ ด้วยมีพระราชประสงค์ที่จะเห็นประชาชนอยู่ดีมีสุขตามสมควรแก่อัตภาพ โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งผู้ประกอบอาชีพทางด้านเกษตรกรรม ซึ่งถือว่าเป็นอาชีพหลักของประเทศ จึงทำให้เกิด “โครงการส่วนพระองค์เกี่ยวกับการเกษตร สวนจิตรลดา” ภายในบริเวณพระตำหนักจิตรลดารโหฐาน อันเป็นราชฐานที่ประทับในปีพุทธศักราช ๒๕๐๔
โครงการส่วนพระองค์ สวนจิตรลดา มีวัตถุประสงค์ในการดำเนินงาน เพื่อศึกษา ทดลองและวิจัยหาวิธีแก้ไขปัญหาเกี่ยวกับงานทางด้านการเกษตรต่างๆ เช่น การปลูกข้าว การเลี้ยงโคนม การเพาะพันธุ์ปลานิล และอื่นๆ อีกมากมาย ซึ่งผลการศึกษาสามารถนำมาประยุกต์ใช้เป็นแบบอย่างในการนำไปปฏิบัติตาม นอกจากนี้ยังเป็นการดำเนินการโดยไม่มุ่งหวังผลตอบแทน จึงมีโครงการที่ตั้งขึ้นเพื่อบรรเทาความเดือดร้อนของราษฎร หลังจากนั้นก็ไปซื้อของฝาก และเดินทางไปรับประทานอาหารที่สวนสัตว์ดุสิต หรือเรียกว่า เขาดิน ในช่วงบ่ายก็เดินทางไปที่พระที่นั่งอนันตสมาคม
