การศึกษาครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ

การศึกษาครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อบรรยายประสบการณ์การเป็นนักการเมืองของพยาบาลวิชาชีพ โดยใช้วิธีการศึกษาเชิงคุณภาพแบบปรากฏการณ์วิทยา (Phenomenology) ตามแนวคิดปรากฏการณ์วิทยาของ Heidegger ผู้วิจัยได้ทำการศึกษานำร่อง (Pilot study) โดยทำการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก (In-depth interview) ร่วมกับการบันทึกเทป การสังเกตและการจดบันทึกในระหว่างการเก็บข้อมูลโดยผู้ให้ข้อมูล ได้แก่ พยาบาลวิชาชีพที่มีประสบการณ์การเข้าสู่ตำแหน่งทางการเมืองโดยดำรงตำแหน่งทางการเมืองเป็นสมาชิกสภาผู้แทนราษฎร สมาชิกวุฒิสภา หรือนักการเมืองระดับท้องถิ่น อย่างน้อย 1 สมัยในประเทศไทย จำนวน 6 ราย ที่มีความยินดีและเต็มใจเข้าร่วมการศึกษาครั้งนี้ซึ่งมีการคัดเลือกผู้ให้ข้อมูลโดยใช้วิธีเจาะจงและการบอกต่อ (Purposive and snowball sampling) ในช่วงเดือนกันยายน-พฤศจิกายน พ.ศ. 2558 ผู้วิจัยได้นำข้อมูลที่ได้จากการถอดเทปแบบคำต่อคำมาวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิงเนื้อหาตามวิธีการของ Van Manen (1984) ผลการศึกษาเบื้องต้นประสบการณ์การเป็นนักการเมืองของพยาบาลวิชาชีพ แบ่งเป็น 5 ประเด็นหลัก ดังนี้
1. การเริ่มต้นเข้าสู่ตำแหน่งทางการเมือง ประกอบด้วย …. ประเด็นย่อย ได้แก่
2. ประสบการณ์การเป็นนักการเมืองของพยาบาลวิชาชีพ ประกอบด้วย…..ประเด็นย่อย ได้แก่
3. การหาคะแนนเสียงโดยใช้วิชาชีพพยาบาล ประกอบด้วย….ประเด็นย่อย ได้แก่

5. การคงอยู่หรือการเลิกเป็นนักการเมือง ประกอบด้วย…….ประเด็นย่อย ได้แก่
จากผลการศึกษาเบื้องต้นนี้ทำให้เข้าใจประสบการณ์การเป็นนักการเมืองของพยาบาลวิชาชีพโดยผู้บริหารทางการพยาบาลและผู้บริหารสถานศึกษาทางการพยาบาลสามารถนำไปเป็นข้อมูลพื้นฐานในการส่งเสริมให้พยาบาลวิชาชีพมีความสนใจทางการเมือง ภาวะผู้นำทางการเมือง และการมีทักษะทางการเมืองอันเป็นทักษะที่สำคัญของการเป็นพยาบาลวิชาชีพที่ดี
