การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) ศึกษาการเรียนรู้แบบมีส่วนร่วมระหว่างโรงเรียนและชุมชน ในการทำนาข้าวเกษตรอินทรีย์ โดยใช้หลักทางสิ่งแวดล้อมศึกษา เพื่อเสริมสร้างความเข้มแข็งของชุมชน 2) พัฒนารูปแบบการเรียนรู้แบบมีส่วนร่วมระหว่างโรงเรียนและชุมชนในการทำนาข้าวเกษตรอินทรีย์ โดยใช้หลักทางสิ่งแวดล้อมศึกษาเพื่อเสริมสร้างความเข้มแข็งของชุมชน 3) ประเมินรูปแบบการเรียนรู้แบบมีส่วนร่วมระหว่างโรงเรียนและชุมชนในการทำนาข้าวเกษตรอินทรีย์ โดยใช้หลักทางสิ่งแวดล้อมศึกษาเพื่อเสริมสร้างความเข้มแข็งของชุมชน ประชากรและกลุ่มตัวอย่าง ได้แก่ ผู้บริหารโรงเรียน ครู นักเรียน ผู้นำชุมชน ผู้ประกอบอาชีพทำนาและปราชญ์ชาวบ้าน ใน 4 จังหวัด คือ จังหวัดอุบลราชธานี จังหวัดศรีสะเกษ จังหวัดยโสธรและจังหวัดอำนาจเจริญ
