วิสาหกิจชุมชน กลุ่มแม่บ้านเจริญรัถ 5 ได้ดำเนินกิจการเมื่อปี พ.ศ.2546 จนถึงปัจจุบัน เป็นการนำภูมิปัญญาในท้องถิ่นของไทยที่มีอยู่ไปใช้ได้อย่างคุ้มค่า และเกิดประโยชน์ในเชิงเศรษฐกิจ ภายใต้แนวคิด “ทำด้วยมือ ทอด้วยใจ ถักทอเส้นใยเป็นผืนผ้า”
ทั้งนี้ยังเป็นการสร้างต้นแบบของการยกระดับคุณภาพ มาตรฐานสินค้าจากภูมิปัญญาไทย ให้เป็นที่ยอมรับทั้งในประเทศและต่างประเทศ โดยเฉพาะในกลุ่มประเทศอาเซียน และนักท่องเที่ยวต่างชาติอีกด้วย นำโดยนาง นาง จันทะมาน ประธานกลุ่มฯ ซึ่งมีความตั้งใจและทุ่มเทกับการสร้างแรงบันดาลใจในการพัฒนาสร้างสรรค์ สินค้าและบรรจุภัณฑ์ จนได้รับเป็นสินค้า OTOP ระดับ 4 ดาว ของกรุเทพมหานคร
