นางบัวเรียว ได้รับการถ่ายทอดวิชาความรู้ด้านการฟ้อนจากบิดาตั้งแต่ยังเยาว์ อาทิ การฟ้อนดาบ ฟ้อนเจิง ฟ้อนสาวไหม ซึ่งเป็นนาฏกรรมของชาวล้านนาที่ได้รับแรงบันดาลใจ จากอากัปกิริยาการทอผ้าฝ้ายของคนสมัยโบราณ จากแรงบันดาลใจดังกล่าว นายกุย สุภาวสิทธิ์ ผู้เป็นบิดาได้นำมาประดิษฐ์เป็นท่ารำขึ้นทั้งหมด ๑๓ ท่ารำ และได้ถ่ายทอดท่ารำต่างๆ ให้แก่บุตรสาว คือนางบัวเรียว จนเป็นผู้มีความสามารถในการฟ้อนต่างๆ ได้อย่างงดงามนอกเหนือจากการ ฟ้อนสาวไหม อาทิ ฟ้อนเล็บ ฟ้อนเทียน รำสีนวล ยวนรำพัด สร้อยแสงแดง ฟ้อนเงี้ยว เป็นต้น นอกจากบิดาแล้ว นางบัวเรียวยังได้รับการถ่ายทอดท่ารำจากนายโม ใจสม นักดนตรีและนาฏศิลป์ชั้นครูของอำเภอพระประแดง จังหวัดสมุทรปราการอีกด้วย นางบัวเรียวจะฟ้อนสาวไหมทุกครั้งที่มีงานสำคัญๆ ของจังหวัดเชียงราย จนได้รับการยกย่องให้เป็น “ แม่ครู ” ของชาวล้านนา ปัจจุบัน นางบัวเรียวยังทำหน้าที่สอน และสาธิตการฟ้อนสาวไหม ตลอดจนการฟ้อนพื้นเมืองต่างๆ ให้แก่กลุ่มสตรี เด็ก และเยาวชนในจังหวัดเชียงราย และจังหวัดใกล้เคียงอยู่เสมอ
