โครงงานการสำรวจสายพันธุ์มะรุมในหมู่บ้านโพนแพง หมู่บ้านห้วยทราย หมู่บ้านตาลกุด หมู่บ้านโนนสมบูรณ์ หมู่บ้ายางเดี่ยว ตำบลโพนแพง อำเภอธาตุพนม จังหวัดนครพนม มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อสำรวจสายพันธุ์ของมะรุมในเขตพื้นที่หมู่บ้านโพนแพง หมู่บ้านห้วยทราย หมู่บ้านตาลกุด หมู่บ้านโนนสมบูรณ์ และหมู่บ้านยางเดี่ยว ตำบลโพนแพง อำเภอธาตุพนม จังหวัดนครพนม โดยทำการสำรวจตั้งแต่เดือนธันวาคม 2556 – เดือนมีนาคม2557 พบต้นมะรุมทั้งหมด 55 ต้น โดยหมู่บ้านโพนแพงพบ 21 ต้น หมู่บ้านห้วยทรายพบ 5 ต้น หมู่บ้านตาลกุดพบ 25 ต้น หมู่บ้านโนนสมบูรณ์พบ 2 ต้น หมู่บ้านยางเดี่ยวพบ 4 ต้น มะรุมที่พบมีเพียงสายพันธุ์เดียว คือMoringa Olifera เท่านั้น
