โครงการวิจัยนี้ ทำการศึกษาการส่องสว่างของหลอดไฟ LED ซึ่งมีการเปรียบเทียบกับความส่องสว่างของหลอดไฟแบบหลอดทังสเตน และมีการใช้พลังงานจากเซลล์แสงอาทิตย์และแบตเตอรี่ ซึ่งการบันทึกค่าด้วยเครื่อง Data logger ที่ต้องใช้ Power bank ในการ Activate และบันทึกค่าในตลอดช่วงการทำงานของอุปกรณ์การทดลอง เพื่อจะดูว่าหลอดไฟทั้งสองชนิดมีการใช้พลังงานมากน้อยเพียงใด จากการทดลองพบว่าหลอดไฟ้ฟ้า LED มีประสิทธิภาพถึง 46 % เมื่อเทียบกับแบตเตอรี่ที่นำมาใช้งาน และหลอดไส้มีประสิทธิภาพ 5 % เมื่อเทียบกับแบตเตอรี่ที่นำมาใช้งาน จึงสรุปได้ว่าหลอดไฟฟ้า LED ประหยัดไฟยิ่งกว่าหลอดไส้ถึง 10 เท่า
