ประวัติ
ปราบดา หยุ่น (เกิด 2 สิงหาคม พ.ศ. 2516) เป็นนักเขียน ได้รับรางวัลซีไรต์ จากเรื่องความน่าจะเป็น เมื่อ พ.ศ. 2545
ปราบดาเป็นบุตรชายของสุทธิชัย หยุ่น บรรณาธิการอำนวยการของเครือเนชั่น และนันทวัน หยุ่น อดีตบรรณาธิการนิตยสารลลนา มีชื่อเล่นว่า คุ่น สำเร็จการศึกษาชั้นมัธยมต้นจากโรงเรียนเทพศิรินทร์ แล้วไปศึกษาต่อที่ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา สำเร็จการศึกษาชั้นปริญญาตรีจาก Cooper Union School for Advancemet of Science and Art ในปี พ.ศ. 2540 โดยปราบดาได้ทำงานด้านการออกแบบกราฟิกอยู่ที่แมนฮัตตัน ก่อนจะกลับมาเกณฑ์ทหารในประเทศไทย
หลังจากนั้น ปราบดาได้ทำงานเป็นคอลัมนิสต์ให้กับนิตยสารเนชั่นสุดสัปดาห์ และเป็นคนเขียนบทให้กับรายการโทรทัศน์เรื่องปมไหม (Silk Knot) ซึ่งมีเนื้อหาเกี่ยวกับการหายตัวไปอย่างลึกลับของจิม ทอมป์สัน ผู้ผลิตผ้าไหมรายใหญ่ของไทย
ผลงานของปราบดาเช่น บทภาพยนตร์เรื่อง เรื่องรัก น้อยนิด มหาศาล (พ.ศ. 2546) และเรื่องคำพิพากษาของมหาสมุทร (พ.ศ. 2549) กำกับโดย เป็นเอก รัตนเรือง

ปราบดาได้รับรางวัลซีไรต์ในปี พ.ศ. 2545 เมื่อเขามีอายุได้ 29 ปี จากเรื่องความน่าจะเป็น
