๑. มีความเมตตากรุณาอย่างแท้จริง คือเมตตากรุณาโดยไม่หวังผลตอบแทน ไม่คิดทวงคืนจากศิษย์ กระทำอย่าง ไม่ขาดตอนและไม่ลดละ ทำเพราะรู้ว่าเป็นสิ่งที่ถูกต้องควรทำ ให้เพราะรู้ว่าเป็นสิ่งที่ ควรให้ ไม่ว่าจิตใจของครู
๒. มีความเป็นกัลยาณมิตรต่อศิษย์ตลอดชีวิต กัลยาณมิตร แปลตามตัวก็คือ เพื่อนที่ดี สมเด็จ พระสัมมา สัมพุทธเจ้า ท่านรับสั่งเสมอว่า ผู้ใด มีพระองค์ท่าน เป็นกัลยาณมิตร ผู้นั้นจะมีชีวิตรอด ความรอดนั้นคือรอดจากความทุกข์ รอดจากสิ่งที่เป็นปัญหา


๓. มีความซื่อตรงต่ออุดมคติของความเป็นครู ในฐานะที่เรายังเป็นปุถุชน บางครั้งก็เกิดความหวั่นไหว เพลี่ยงพล้ำ ศรัทธาที่มีต่ออุดมคติ ที่ตั้งไว้ก็คลอนแคลนไปบ้าง เพราะเหตุปัจจัยบางอย่างชวนให้ท้อแท้ เหน็ดเหนื่อย สิ้นหวัง หมดกำลังใจ แต่ครูต้องมีเจตนารมณ์ ที่แน่วแน่ ในการมุ่งสร้างสังคม
๔. อดทนและเสียสละ ไม่เห็นแก่ตัว ผู้เป็นครูไม่สามารถปฏิเสธการร่วมรับผิดชอบในความเสื่อมหรือ ความเจริญ ของสังคม ที่เกี่ยวข้องได้ เราปฏิเสธไม่ได้เลย ว่าสภาวะของสังคมที่เป็นอยู่ในปัจจุบัน
