ไทย มีความจำเป็นที่จะศึกษาถึง CISG ใน ๓ ลักษณะ กล่าวคือ (๑) ศึกษาหลักกฎหมายการซื้อขายสินค้าระหว่างประเทศภายใต้ CISG (๒) ศึกษาเปรียบเทียบระหว่าง CISG และปพพ.ว่าด้วยซื้อขายของไทย และ (๓) ศึกษาความเป็นไปได้ของแนวทางในการพัฒนาและบัญญัติกฎหมายซื้อขายสินค้าระหว่างประเทศของไทยให้สอดคล้อง CISG และสถานการณ์โลก
