การศึกษาครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเพิ่มพูนความรู้ทางด้านคำศัพท์และประเมินผลสัมฤทธิ์โดยใช้แบบฝึกหัดท่องจำคำศัพท์ภาษาอังกฤษเป็นเกณฑ์ในการหาผลสัมฤทธิ์ ซึ่งเก็บข้อมูลจากนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาชั้นปีที่ 6 โรงเรียนบ้านบวกหมื้อ จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ จำนวน 23 คน โดยจัดการเรียนการสอนเรื่องการท่องจำคำศัพท์ภาษาอังกฤษจำนวน 4 ครั้ง ซึ่งจัดการสอนสัปดาห์ละ 1 ครั้ง สัปดาห์แรกจะให้นักเรียนทำข้อสอบก่อนเรียนแล้วทำการสอน 2 ครั้ง และในสัปดาห์สุดท้ายให้นักเรียนทำข้อสอบหลังเรียน จากนั้นนำผลคะแนนที่นักเรียนได้จากการทำข้อสอบหลังเรียนมาวิเคราะห์ผลสัมฤทธิ์
ผลการศึกษาพบว่านักเรียนทุกคน ได้คะแนนข้อสอบหลังเรียนเพิ่มมากขึ้นและมีทักษะการท่องจำคำศัพท์ภาษาอังกฤษที่แม่นยำมากยิ่งขึ้น ดังนั้นแบบฝึกหัดท่องจำคำศัพท์ภาษาอังกฤษเป็นสื่อที่สามารถนำไปใช้ในรุ่นต่อไปได้
