การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อพัฒนาซอฟต์แวร์เสรีในการเรียนหัวข้อจลนศาสตร์หุ่นยนต์แบบ 2 องศาอิสระและประเมินความพึงพอใจของนักศึกษาที่มีต่อซอฟต์แวร์เสรี กลุ่มตัวอย่างได้จากการเลือกแบบเจาะจง เป็นนักศึกษาชั้นปีที่ 2 สาขาวิศวกรรมไฟฟ้า คณะครุศาสตร์อุตสาหกรรม มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีพระจอมเกล้าพระนครเหนือ จำนวน 8 คน เครื่องที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ประกอบด้วย โปรแกรมโรโบซิม 2 โปรแกรมไซแลบ เอกสารประกอบการเรียนเรื่องจลนศาสตร์หุ่นยนต์แบบ 2 องศาอิสระและแบบสอบถามความพึงพอใจ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยค่าเฉลี่ย (x ̅) ผลการวิจัยพบว่าซอฟต์แวร์เสรีมรใช้คำนวณตัวแปรเชิงสัญลักษณ์มีประสิทธิภาพในระดับมาก (x ̅=4.50)
