ในการศึกษาครั้งนี้ได้ทำการศึกษาผลกระทบการเปลี่ยนแปลงการใช้ประโยชน์ที่ดินที่มีต่อปริมาณน้ำท่า ระหว่างปี พ.ศ. 2536 2546 และ พ.ศ. 2556 เพื่อศึกษาการเปลี่ยนแปลงการใช้ประโยชน์ที่ดินที่มีต่อปริมาณน้ำท่า โดยวิธีการศึกษาจะแบ่งออกเป็น 3 ส่วน โดยส่วนที่ 1 เป็นการศึกษาการเปลี่ยนแปลงการใช้ประโยชน์ที่ดินโดยแปล Landuse ด้วยภาพดาวเทียม Landsat 5 – TM ในปี พ.ศ. 2536 2546 และ พ.ศ. 2556 จำแนกการใช้ประโยชน์ที่ดินออกเป็น 5 ประเภท ได้แก่ ป่าไม้ เกษตรกรรม แหล่งน้ำ ที่อยู่อาศัย และพื้นที่อื่นๆ ส่วนที่ 2 ศึกษาข้อมูลน้ำท่า โดยการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลค่าเฉลี่ยน้ำท่ารายปีจากสถานี M.164 M.191 และส่วนที่ 3 เป็นการวิเคราะห์หาความสัมพันธ์ตามหลักสถิติด้วยวิธีสัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์ระหว่างการเปลี่ยนแปลงการใช้ประโยชน์ที่ดินกับปริมาณน้ำท่า ผลการศึกษาพบว่าการใช้ที่ดินประเภทที่อยู่อาศัยมีแนวโน้มเพิ่มขึ้น ส่วนการใช้ที่ดินประเภทเกษตรกรมมีแนวโน้มลดลงและการใช้ที่ดินประเภทอื่นๆมีการเปลี่ยนแปลงไม่มากนัก ซึ่งได้นำข้อมูลดังกล่าวมาวิเคราะห์ความสัมพันธ์กับปริมาณน้ำท่า เพื่อใช้ใน การวางแผนบริหารจัดการพื้นที่ต่อไป
