การวิจัยรูปแบบการวิจัยในครั้งนี้มีเป้าหมายเพื่อพัฒนารูปแบบการป้องกันอุบัติเหตุสำหรับนักเรียนประถมศึกษา โรงเรียนวัดโพธิ์ทอง อำเภอเมืองบุรีรัมย์ จังหวัดบุรีรัมย์ กลุ่มตัวอย่างเป็นนักเรียนระดับประถมศึกษาปีที่ 1–6 จำนวน 60 คน และผู้ปกครองจำนวน 60 คน แบ่งการศึกษาออกเป็น 4 ระยะ คือ วิเคราะห์สถานการณ์การเกิดอุบัติเหตุในนักเรียน วางแผนปฏิบัติเพื่อหาแนวทางป้องกันอุบัติเหตุในนักเรียน ทดลองใช้รูปแบบการป้องกันอุบัติเหตุ และประเมินผล เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการรวบรวมข้อมูล คือ แบบสอบถาม หาความเชื่อมั่นแบบสอบถามพฤติกรรมการป้องกันอุบัติเหตุของนักเรียน โดยใช้ค่าสัมประสิทธิ์แอลฟ่าของครอนบาค (Cronbach’s Alpha Coefficient) ค่าความเชื่อมั่นเท่ากับ 0.82 และค่าความเชื่อมั่นแบบสอบถามพฤติกรรมการป้องกันอุบัติเหตุของผู้ปกครอง โดยใช้ค่าสัมประสิทธิ์แอลฟ่าของครอนบาค (Cronbach’s Alpha Coefficient) ได้ค่าความเชื่อมั่นเท่ากับ 0.86 รวมทั้งแบบบันทึกข้อมูล และผู้วิจัย วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิงปริมาณด้วยสถิติเชิงพรรณนา Pair samples t – test ข้อมูลเชิงคุณภาพวิเคราะห์ด้วยการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา ผลการวิจัยพบว่า เมื่อนำรูปแบบการป้องกันอุบัติเหตุไปใช้ พบว่า มีผลช่วยเพิ่มพฤติกรรมการป้องกันอุบัติเหตุและลดการบาดเจ็บของนักเรียน มีการบริหารจัดการเพื่อสร้างความปลอดภัย ที่สำคัญพบว่า นักเรียนและผู้ปกครองมีพฤติกรรมการป้องกันอุบัติเหตุสูงขึ้นอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ การศึกษาครั้งนี้เสนอแนะว่า ถ้าจะนำรูปแบบการป้องกันอุบัติเหตุไปใช้ต้องปรับให้เหมาะสมตามบริบทของโรงเรียนอื่น ๆ
