สภาการพยาบาลเป็นองค์กรวิชาชีพตามกฎหมาย มุ่งมั่นคุ้มครองสิทธิผู้บริโภคด้านสุขภาพและผู้ให้บริการด้านการพยาบาลและการผดุงครรภ์พัฒนาคุณภาพ และมาตรฐานของวิชาชีพทุกด้านอย่างต่อเนื่อง ชี้นำสังคมด้านสุขภาพ สร้างเสริมวิชาชีพให้มีความก้าวหน้าสู่สากล โดยการมีส่วนร่วมของสมาชิกและผู้มีส่วนเกี่ยวข้อง

พันธกิจ
1. คุ้มครองสิทธิผู้บริโภค จากบริการการพยาบาลและการผดุงครรภ์

4. ส่งเสริมการสร้างองค์ความรู้ การใช้และการเผยแพร่ เพื่อประโยชน์ในการให้บริการการพยาบาล การผดุงครรภ์และคุณภาพการศึกษาในวิชาชีพ
