ก่อนกระแสการท่องเที่ยวใน จ. พังงาจะบูมเช่นทุกวันนี้ ในอดีตพังงาเคยได้ชื่อว่าเป็นเมืองแห่งสินแร่ดีบุก ทั้งบนภูเขา บนบก และในทะเล สร้างรายได้เข้าประเทศปีละนับหมื่นล้านบาท

ปัจจุบันการทำเหมืองแร่ดีบุกใน จ. พังงา มีปรากฏให้เห็นเพียงแห่งเดียว คือที่บ้านนบปริง อ. เมืองพังงา


“บ้านกลางน้ำ”
