แต่ก่อนเคยรับจ้างสีข้าวให้ชาวบ้านในละแวกใกล้เคียง แต่ต่อมาได้ปิดกิจการ เพราะชาวบ้านไม่นำข้าวเปลือกมาสีอีกต่อไป ชาวบ้านนิยมเอาข้าวเปลือกให้กับโรงสีเลย แล้วชาวบ้านก็ไปซื้อข้าวกิน ประกอบกับลูกๆเข้าไปทำงานในเมือง ไม่มีคนดูแลกิจการ
