เช่น เราจะสังเกตุคนหูหวนก เขาจะไม่พูด แต่จะใช้ภาษามือแทน นั้นเป็นเพราะเขาไม่เคยได้ยินเสียง จึงเปล่งเสียงออกมาเป็นคำ หรือเป็นประโยคที่ไม่รู้เรื่อง เพราะเขาไม่เข้าใจรูปแบบของเสียง
