การวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นการวิจัยเกี่ยวกับสาเหตุการมาเรียนสายของนัก เรียนในระดับชั้น ปวส. 1แผนกวิชาการจัดการสำนักงานผู้วิจัยได้ศึกษาแนวคิด ทฤษฎีและงานวิจัยที่เกี่ยวข้องดังนี้
1. ด้านนักศึกษา

3. ด้านครอบครัวของนักศึกษา
4. ด้านสภาพแวดล้อมในสถานศึกษา
5. ด้านงานวิจัยที่เกี่ยวข้อง
1. ด้านนักศึกษานักศึกษาเป็นส่วนสำคัญส่วนหนึ่งของระบบการเรียนการสอน หากไม่มีนักศึกษาการเรียนการสอนก็ไม่เกิดขึ้น ในระบบการเรียนการสอนนักศึกษาจะต้องมีความพร้อมที่จะรับการเรียนรู้อย่างเพียงพอนักจิตวิทยากลุ่มมนุษย์นิยมเชื่อว่า การที่นักเรียนสอบตกหรือไม่บรรลุผลในการเรียนเพราะ พื้นฐานความต้องการของนักเรียนไม่ได้รับการตอบสนอง ซึ่งในเรื่องความต้องการพื้นฐานของนักเรียนนั้น ได้ทำการศึกษาวิจัยเกี่ยวกับความต้องการพื้นฐานของนักเรียนไว้ดังนี้

5. ความต้องการประสบความสำเร็จในการเรียน
6. ความต้องการเอาใจใส่ และตอบสนองความสนใจของนักเรียนจากผู้สอน
7. ความต้องการให้โครงสร้างทางการเรียนมีปริมาณที่เหมาะสม
8. ความต้องการมีเวลาสำหรับการเรียนอย่างเต็มที่
9. ความต้องการมีความสัมพันธ์ที่ดีต่อเพื่อน ๆ
10. ความต้องการในการชี้แนะที่เหมาะสมกับระดับความสามารถ และวิธีการเรียนของนักเรียน
ผู้เรียนนับเป็นองค์ประกอบทางการเรียนที่สำคัญ ดังนั้นการศึกษาข้อมูลจากตัวผู้เรียนจึงนับว่าเป็นสิ่งสำคัญในการจัดการเรียนการสอนให้มีประสิทธิภาพ และประสิทธิผล ควรศึกษาองค์ประกอบด้านต่าง ๆ เช่น ด้านสภาพแวดล้อมทางเศรษฐกิจ สังคม การอบรมเลี้ยงดูจากครอบครัว ความต้องการความสนใจและความมุ่งหวังต่อสาขาวิชาที่เรียน ปัญหาเกี่ยวกับตัวผู้เรียน ความพร้อมในการเรียนรู้ความสามารถของตัวผู้เรียนเอง และแม้กระทั่งความแตกต่างระหว่างบุคคลก็เป็นองค์ประกอบที่สำคัญของการวางแผนจัดการเรียนการสอน เพราะสิ่งต่าง ๆ เหล่านี้อาจส่งผลให้นักเรียนมีผลการเรียนที่ไม่ดีและออกกลางคันได้แต่อย่างไรก็ตามการเรียนการสอนเป็นกระบวนการที่ยุ่งยากซับซ้อนแม้จะการเตรียมการสอนไว้ดีแล้วก็ตาม จะต้องพิจารณาถึงองค์ประกอบของปัญหาที่มีผลต่อการเรียนการสอนด้วย หากครูไม่ได้มีการพิจารณาในเรื่องนี้แล้ว อาจทำให้แผนการสอนที่ได้เตรียมมาประสบกับปัญหาไม่สามารถทำให้การเรียนการสอนบรรลุตามวัตถุประสงค์ที่วางไว้ได้
2. ด้านครู - อาจารย์ผู้สอนอาจารย์ผู้สอนหรือครู เป็นองค์ประกอบที่มีความสำคัญยิ่งที่จะทำให้การเรียนการสอนเป็นไปอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ การเตรียมการสอนของครูจึงมีความสำคัญอย่างยิ่ง อาจสรุปประโยชน์ของการเตรียมการสอนได้ดังนี้การเตรียมการสอนที่ดี จะก่อให้เกิดความมั่นใจในการสอน ถ้าหากอาจารย์ผู้สอนได้มีการเตรียมการสอนต่าง ๆ ได้อย่างเหมาะสม ทั้งทางด้านเนื้อหาที่จะสอน วิธีการสอน ตลอดจนบุคลิกภาพของอาจารย์ผู้สอน ฉะนั้นจึงเป็นการสร้างความมั่นใจในการสอนให้เกิดขึ้นการเตรียมการสอนที่ดี ทำให้การสอนราบรื่น ถูกต้อง และไม่สับสน แม้ว่าการสอนนั้นจะเป็นงานที่ค่อนข้างจะสับสน และมีตัวแปรต่าง ๆ มากก็ตาม แต่ถ้าหากมีการจัดเตรียมการสอนให้เป็นระบบแล้วก็จะทำให้ลดความสับสน และนำทางให้การเรียนการสอนเป็นไปด้วยดี การเตรียมการสอนที่ดี ทำให้อาจารย์ผู้สอนได้สอนตรงตามจุดมุ่งหมายที่กำหนดไว้ ทำให้สอนได้ตรงตามเวลาที่กำหนดไว้ และจะช่วยให้มีการวางแผนให้นักศึกษาเข้าร่วมกิจกรรม ช่วยให้นักศึกษามีความสนใจชื่นชมยินดี มีความเชื่อมั่น และศรัทธาในตัวครู ซึ่งจะทำให้การเรียนการสอนประสบผลสำเร็จ เป็นไปตามเป้าหมาย และวัตถุประสงค์ของการเรียนการสอน
