ร้านหลานตาชู  เริ่มต้นจากธุรกิจเปิดร้านขายก๋วยเตี๋ยวและข้าวราดแกงจนกระทั่งเติบโตเป็นสเต็กเฮาส์ชื่อดังของจังหวัดพัทลุง เป็นบทพิสูจน์ถึงความมุ่งมั่นและความพยายาม อันนำไปสู่ความสำเร็จของหลานตาชูสเต็กเฮาส์ ของคุณอัฎฐพร และคุณฐิติรัตน์ ทองศรีนุ่นได้เป็นอย่างดี
จุดเริ่มต้นของหลานตาชูสเต็กเฮาส์มาจากการที่คุณอัฎฐพร ทองศรีนุ่น (ชาย) มีความสนใจอยากหาประสบการณ์ต่างแดน ซึ่งในขณะนั้นมีญาติทำงานอยู่ประเทศออสเตรเลีย จึงตัดสินใจหยุดเรียนเพื่อไปหาประสบการณ์ที่นั้น (ขณะนั้นกำลังเรียนม.ศรีประทุมชั้นปี 1) โดยงานแรกที่ได้ทำ คือ พนักงานล้างกระทะ โดยทุกครั้งที่ปฏิบัติงานก็จะพยายามเรียนรู้งานภายในครัวทุก ๆ คนตลอดเวลา จนกระทั่งวันหนึ่งผู้ช่วยกุ๊กได้ลาออกกะทันหัน เจ้าของร้านหาผู้ช่วยกุ๊กไม่ทัน ทำให้คุณอัฎฐพรอาสาจะช่วยงานไปก่อนชั่วคราว แต่ต่อมาก็ได้ตำแหน่งเป็นผู้ช่วยกุ๊กจนกระทั่งเป็นหัวหน้ากุ๊กในเวลาต่อมา จากความพยายามดังกล่าวต้องใช้เวลาร่วม 9 ปีด้วยกัน
ต่อมาในปี 2539 คุณอัฎฐพร ได้กลับมาเมืองไทยเพื่อเปิดธุรกิจร้านอาหารที่ห้างสรรพสินค้าชื่อดังแห่งหนึ่งบนถนนลาดพร้าวแต่ทำได้แค่ปีเดียวต้องปิดกิจการเพราะประสบกับการขาดทุนจากพิษเศรษฐกิจในปี 2540 จนทำให้ทรัพย์สินที่สะสมมาจากต่างประเทศต้องอันตรทานหายไปเพียงชั่วข้ามปี แต่ด้วยความมุ่งมั่นและไม่ยอมแพ้จึงรวบรวมเงินก้อนสุดท้ายจำนวน 20,000 บาท มาเปิดร้านขายก๋วยเตี๋ยว และข้าวราดแกง ริมถนนสายพัทลุง - อ.ควนขนุน ซึ่งลูกค้าเก่า ๆ คงจดจำบรรยากาศร้านเดิมได้เป็นอย่างดี จนกระทั่งสามารถขยายกิจการให้เติบโตอย่างเช่นปัจจุบันนี้ จนเป็นที่รู้จักของนักชิมและนักเดินทางโดยทั่วไป และมีโอกาสได้รับเกียรติเป็นสถานที่จัดเลี้ยงรับรอง ฯ พณ ฯ ท่านธานินทร์ กรัยวิเชียร องคมนตรี และผู้หลักผู้ใหญ่อีกหลายท่าน อาทิ ท่านบัญญัติ บรรทัดฐาน ท่านประชา มาลีนนท์ ฯลฯ
 ตาชู คือชื่ออดีตผู้ใหญ่บ้านตำบลดอนทราย อำเภอควนขนุน จังหวัดพัทลุง หลังจากที่หลานตาชูผู้มีประสบการณ์ร้านอาหารจากเมืองนอกอยู่หลายปี ก็กลับมาเปิดร้านขายสะเต็กเพิงมุงจากเล็กๆอยู่ที่สี่แยกห้วยท่อม ข้างโรงเรียนควนขนุน เมื่อราวปี ๔๔ ผมเคยไปนั่งทานที่ร้านนั้น จนปัจจุบันร้านหลานตาชูได้เปิดกิจการใหญ่โต ชนิดที่หากไม่ไปก่อนตอนหัวค่ำ จะไม่มีที่จอดรถ จะไม่มีโต๊ะนั่ง แม้ร้านหลานตาชูจะอยู่ไม่ไกลกับบ้านผมมากนัก แต่ก็ไม่มีโอกาสได้ไปนั่งสักเท่าไร จนเมื่อมีโอกาสเมื่อวันเสาร์ที่ผ่านมา ผมได้มีโอกาสพาเพื่อนๆจากภูเก็ต ไปชิมอาหารที่นั่นดุว่าจะเป็นเช่นไร
หลานตาชูรสเต็กเฮาส์ จึงเป็นตำนานบทหนึ่งของการมุ่งมั่นต่อสู้ชีวิตจนประสบความสำเร็จในอาชีพได้เป็นอย่างดี
