การศึกษาเชิงสำรวจครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อศึกษาพฤติกรรมการจัดการความเครียด ระดับความเครียด สาเหตุของความเครียด และปัจจัยที่มีความสัมพันธ์กับระดับความเครียดของนิสิตชั้นปีที่ 1 สาขาสาธารณสุขศาสตร์ (อนามัยชุมชน) คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยพะเยา ตามปัจจัยส่วนบุคคล ได้แก่ เพศ ผลการเรียน อาชีพหลักของครอบครัว รายรับของนิสิต การกู้ยืมเพื่อการศึกษา สถานภาพสมรส.
ประชาการที่ศึกษา คือ นิสิตชั้นปีที่ 1 สาขาสาธารณสุขศาสตร์ (อนามัยชุมชน) คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยพะเยา จำนวน 360 คน.
กำหนดขนาดของกลุ่มตัวอย่างโดยใช้สูตรของ Taro Yamane ได้กลุ่มตัวอย่างจำนวน 190 คน เก็บข้อมูลโดยใช้แบบสอบถาม และวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้สถิติพรรณนา ได้แก่ การแจกแจงความถี่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย และค่าเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และใช้สถิติอ้างอิง ได้แก่ T-test One-way ANOVA และ Chi-Square.
ผลการศึกษาปัจจัยส่วนบุคคลของนิสิตชั้นปีที่ 1 สาขาสาธารณสุขศาสตร์ (อนามัยชุมชน) คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยพะเยา พบว่า ใหญ่เป็นเพศหญิง คิดเป็นร้อยละ 62.60 ส่วนใหญ่มีผลการเรียนเฉลี่ยที่ 2.00 - 2.49 คิดเป็นร้อยละ 35.8 ด้านอาชีพหลักของครอบครัวส่วนใหญ่ประกอบอาชีพเกษตรกรรม คิดเป็นร้อยละ 35.30 ส่วนใหญ่นิสิตมีรายรับอยู่ในระหว่าง 5,000 - 9,999 บาท คิดเป็นร้อยละ 62.11 ไม่กู้ยืมเงินกองทุนการศึกษาเป็นส่วนใหญ่ คิดเป็น ร้อยละ 62.60 และสถานภาพทางครอบครัว ส่วนใหญ่บิดามารดาอยู่ด้วยกัน คิดเป็นร้อยละ 82.63
จากผลการศึกษาครั้งนี้ เพื่อนำข้อมูลไปเผยแพร่ให้อาจารย์และผู้เกี่ยวข้องได้ตระหนักถึงความเครียด การจัดการความเครียด และใช้เป็นแนวทางในการหาวิธีในการบริหารจัดการ และปรับสภาพแวดล้อมการเรียน การสอนให้เหมาะสมกับนิสิตชั้นปีที่ 1 สาขาสาธารณสุขศาสตร์ (อนามัยชุมชน) คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยพะเยา
