อ่าน Harry Potter ภาษาอังกฤษ อ่านทีละย่อหน้า สลับกับไทย เพื่อดูว่าเราแปลเองได้แย่แค่ไหน เหอะๆ
...ไม่แน่เสมอไป ถ้าเราเข้าใจความหมายของภาษาที่เราอ่าน เราก็จะเข้าใจเนื้อเรื่องได้ ภาษาไทยที่เราใช้ในการแปลกับที่ได้มาจากการอ่านเรื่องแปลนั้น อาจจะต่างกัน ขึ้นอยู่กับความรอบรู้ในภาษาไทยของแต่ละคน นักแปลแต่ละคนจะมีแนวการแปลที่ต่างกัน การใช้ภาษาไทยที่ต่างกันออกไป แต่ความหมายดั้งเดิมของเนื้อหาในเรื่องไม่น่าจะต่างกันออกไป



ถ้าอ่านคล่องแล้ว จะมีส่วนช่วยในการฟังภาษาอังกฤษ จากซีรีย์ หรือหนังได้ง่ายขึ้นกว่าเดิมมั๊ย
...ไม่น่าจะช่วยอะไรได้มาก อาจจะได้ยินบางคำพูด หรือศัพท์บางคำแล้วรู้คำแปล หรือรู้ว่ามันหมายถึงอะไร ซึ่งอาจจะช่วยให้เข้าใจเรื่องได้ดีขึ้น



สำหรับเราก็เริ่มฝึกจริงๆ มาได้ 2 เดือน อ่านเป็น E-book ใน iPad Mini ค่ะ ลง App Dictionary เรียบร้อย ไฮไลท์ศัพท์ใหม่ๆ ที่ไม่รู้ได้ และพกสะดวกมาก แต่ตอนนี้ยังไม่รู้สึกดีขึ้นหรือแตกต่างจากเดิมซักเท่าไหร่ แต่ได้รู้ศัพท์เพิ่มขึ้น
...รู้ศัพท์เพิ่มขึ้น ถูกต้อง และก็น่าจะได้ไวยากรณ์ติดไปด้วย



แต่ตอนนี้ยังไม่ถึงไหนเลย อยากรู้มากๆ ว่าคนอื่นเค้าใช้เวลาฝึกกันนานมั๊ย
...อ่านมาตั้งแต่อายุ 19 ตอนนี้เลยเกษียณมานานแล้ว ก็ยังอ่านอยู่ เจออะไรที่มีให้อ่าน หรือที่ต้องอ่าน ก็อ่านมันหมด แล้วก็ยังเจอศัพท์ที่ไม่เคยเห็นมาก่อนอยู่บ่อยไป




ส่วนเรื่องฟัง พูดนี้ เอาไว้ก่อน ขอฝึกอ่านก่อน ฝึกอ่านง่ายสุด
...นี่ก็อาจจะเป็นอีกมุมมองหนึ่ง แต่ก็ไม่น่าจะมีเหตุผลอะไรที่จะทำควบคู่กันไปไม่ได้ ใครจะไปรู้ว่า ใน 3 ปีเราทำอะไรได้มากแค่ไหน
