การศึกษาเรื่อง ธรรมาภิบาลในการบริหารจัดการพันธกิจของวัด เป็นการวิจัยเชิงสำรวจ โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์ 1) เพื่อหาระดับความสำเร็จในการบริหารจัดการพันธกิจของวัดตามหลักธรรมาภิบาล 2) เสนอแนวทางการสร้างความสำเร็จในการบริหารจัดการพันธกิจวัดตามหลักธรรมาภิบาล
ผลการวิจัยพบว่า
1. ผู้บริหารวัดให้ความสำคัญในการใช้ธรรมาภิบาลในการบริหารจัดการพันธกิจของวัด ด้านการจัดศาสนสมบัติของวัดให้เป็นไปด้วยดี มีการปรับปรุง แก้ไข และพัฒนาด้านสาธารณูปการของวัดให้ดียิ่งขึ้น มีการวางแผนการก่อสร้างถาวรวัตถุทั้งในปัจจุบันและอนาคตให้เหมาะสม การทำผังวัดให้เป็นระเบียบ การควบคุมบัญชีรายรับ-รายจ่าย ที่ใช้ในการก่อสร้างและบูรณปฏิสังขรณ์ถาวรวัตถุ ด้านการปกครองและสอดส่องให้บรรพชิตและคฤหัสถ์ในวัดประพฤติดีปฏิบัติชอบ มีการปรับปรุงแก้ไข วางกฎระเบียบในการปกครองให้ดียิ่งขึ้น สอดส่องดูแลให้บรรพชิตและคฤหัสถ์ในวัดเคร่งครัดต่อพระธรรมวินัยมากยิ่งขึ้น ด้านการเป็นธุระในการศึกษาอบรม และสั่งสอนพระธรรมวินัยแก่บรรพชิตและคฤหัสถ์ มีการเทศนาสั่งสอนประชาชนให้ตั้งอยู่ในศีลธรรมและหลักธรรมคำสั่งสอนของพุทธศาสนาที่ถูกต้อง มีส่วนร่วมในการจัดหาทุนการศึกษา สนับสนุนผู้ด้อยโอกาสให้มีโอกาสศึกษาสูงยิ่งขึ้น การจัดตั้งห้องสมุดภายในวัดเพื่อประโยชน์ในการศึกษาหาความรู้แก่พระสงฆ์และประชาชนทั่วไป ด้านการให้ความสะดวกตามสมควรในการบำเพ็ญกุศลของประชาชน การจัดทำป้ายประชาสัมพันธ์ของวัดในวันสำคัญทางพระพุทธศาสนา ให้การช่วยเหลือประชาชน วัดที่ขาดแคลน หรือประสบสาธารณภัย ให้คำปรึกษาและความอุปถัมภ์ด้านศาสนากับชุมชนและประชาชนในท้องถิ่น
2. แนวทางการสร้างความสำเร็จในการบริหารจัดการพันธกิจวัดตามหลักธรรมาภิบาล

3) ด้านการเป็นธุระในการศึกษาอบรม และสั่งสอนพระธรรมวินัยแก่บรรพชิตและคฤหัสถ์ มีการเทศนาสั่งสอนประชาชนให้ตั้งอยู่ในศีลธรรมและหลักธรรมคำสั่งสอนของพุทธศาสนาที่ถูกต้อง อบรมพระภิกษุสามเณรให้มีสมณสัญญา จรรยามารยาทเพื่อเป็นแบบอย่างที่ดี สนับสนุนทุนการศึกษาแก่ผู้ด้อยโอกาสตามความเหมาะสม
4) ด้านการให้ความสะดวกตามสมควรในการบำเพ็ญกุศลของประชาชน มีการจัดทำป้ายประชาสัมพันธ์ของวัดในวันสำคัญทางพระพุทธศาสนา ให้คำแนะนำแก่พุทธบริษัทเมื่อปฏิบัติกิจกรรมในวันสำคัญทางพุทธศาสนา การให้ความช่วยเหลือประชาชนตามสถานการณ์ต่าง ๆ มีการเผยแพร่นโยบาย ข้อมูล ข่าวสาร ของรัฐบาลหรือหน่วยงานราชการที่เป็นประโยชน์แก่ประชาชนเป็นประจำ
