เพื่อส่งเสริมและพัฒนาคุณภาพการเรียน การสอนคณิตศาสตร์ สู่มาตรฐานสากล สำหรับกิจกรรม โครงการพัฒนาคุณภาพการเรียนรู้สู่สากล เนื่องจาก ธรรมชาติของเด็กไทย คือไม่ชอบวิชา คณิตศาสตร์ดังนั้น เราจึงปรับความรู้ที่ได้จาก MTV ที่ส่งเสริมพัฒนาการเด็กโดยการใช้ความคิด และนำมาซิ่งกิจกรรม คณิตคิดเป็นภาพ ซึ่งเป็น “ยุทธวิธีช่วยคิดคณิตศาสตร์” โดยเริ่มจากวิธีคิดแบบ คณิตคิดเป็นภาพ ได้ศึกษาและเลือกวิธีการแก้โจทย์ปัญหา คณิตศาสตร์ใช้กับสถานการณ์ต่าง ๆ ที่มีความหลากหลายอย่างสมเหตุสมผล
ประกอบด้วยวิธีการแก้โจทย์ปัญหาต่าง ๆ ได้แก่ ยุทธวิธีการการวาดภาพ (Draw a Picture) การหาแบบรูป (Finda Pattern) การคิดแบบย้อนกลับ (Work Backwards) การสร้างตาราง (Makea Table) การเดาและตรวจสอบ (Guess and Check) การทำในรูปอย่างง่าย(Solve a Simple Problem) การเลือกยุทธวิธี (Choose a Strategy) และพัฒนาไปสู่โจทย์คณิตศาสตร์คิดสร้างสรรค์ (Creative Mathematics) หรือ (Mental Arithmetic)
