ศูนย์ศึกษาธรรมชาติกองทัพบก (บางปู)

ศูนย์ศึกษาธรรมชาติกองทัพบก (บางปู) เฉลิมพระเกียรติ 72 พรรษา มหาราชินี เกิดขึ้นจากความร่วมมือระหว่างกองทัพบก และ WWF ประเทศไทย ซึ่งเป็นองค์กรเอกชนที่ปฏิบัติภารกิจเกี่ยวกับการอนุรักษ์ทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อม โดยได้ทำพิธีลงนามในบันทึกข้อตกลงร่วมโครงการจัดตั้งพื้นที่อนุรักษ์ธรรมชาติกองทัพบก เมื่อวันที่ 20 สิงหาคม พ.ศ. 2546 เพื่อเฉลิมพระเกียรติ สมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ เนื่องในโอกาสพระราชพิธีมหามงคล เฉลิมพระชนมพรรษา 6 รอบ 12 สิงหาคม พ.ศ. 2547 และเพื่อพัฒนาสถานตากอากาศบางปูให้เป็นศูนย์กลางการเรียนรู้ด้านธรรมชาติที่เชื่อมโยงกับเมืองใหญ่สำหรับเยาวชน เน้นรูปแบบการเรียนรู้แบบบูรณาการที่ประยุกต์เนื้อหาสาระให้สอดคล้องกับวิชาต่าง ๆ ในชั้นเรียน โดยอาศัยสภาพธรรมชาติเป็นตัวกระตุ้นให้ผู้เรียนเกิดความสนใจ

จนถึงปัจจุบัน ศูนย์ศึกษาธรรมชาติกองทัพบก (บางปู)ฯ ได้รับความร่วมมือการดำเนินงานอันดียิ่งในด้านการให้บริการด้านการศึกษาจากสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาสมุทรปราการ และการสนับสนุนด้านงบประมาณการดำเนินการจากภาคเอกชนต่างๆ ดังนี้

กองอำนวยการสถานพักผ่อน กรมพลาธิการทหารบก ได้รับการสนับสนุนจาก บริษัท เชพรอน ประเทศไทย สำรวจและผลิต จำกัด (พ.ศ. 2547) สนับสนุนด้านงบประมาณการจัดทำเส้นทางศึกษาธรรมชาติเบื้องต้น อาคารสำนักงาน หอดูนก และหอชมเรือนยอด

WWF ประเทศไทย ในช่วงเริ่มโครงการได้รับการสนับสนุนโดย บริษัทไทยประกันชีวิต จำกัด (พ.ศ. 2546 – 2550) ให้การสนับสนุนด้านงบประมาณการบริหารงาน การจัดการ และการให้บริการด้านการศึกษา จากนั้นได้รับการสนับสนุนจากบริษัท โตโยต้า มอเตอร์ ประเทศไทย จำกัด (พ.ศ. 2550 - ปัจจุบัน) เพื่อทำการปรับปรุงอาคารสำนักงาน อาคารนิทรรศการ หอดูนก เส้นทางศึกษาธรรมชาติ การบริหารจัดการและการให้บริการด้านการศึกษา และ ร่วมสนับสนุนโดย Double A (พ.ศ. 2548 - ปัจจุบัน ) ในด้านการจัดทำสื่อสิ่งพิมพ์ ประชาสัมพันธ์
