ประชากรที่ใช้ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้ เป็นนักเรียนของโรงเรียนมัธยมศึกษาแห่งหนึ่ง จังหวัดนครราชสีมา ปีการศึกษา 2557 ที่สังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษามัธยมศึกษาเขต 31 จำนวน 71,526 คน
กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้ ได้แก่ นักเรียนของโรงเรียนมัธยมศึกษาแห่งหนึ่ง จังหวัดนครราชสีมา ปีการศึกษา 2557 ที่สังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษามัธยมศึกษาเขต 31 จำนวน 398 คนซึ่ง และเพิ่มจำนวนกลุ่มตัวอย่างอีกร้อยละ 20 รวมเป็น 480 คน ได้มาโดยวิธีการสุ่มแบบหลายขั้นตอน
