ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล ผู้วิจัยได้ดำเนินการดังนี้
1. กลุ่มตัวอย่างทำการทดสอบก่อนเรียน (pretest) จำนวน 20 ข้อ ใช้เวลา 1 ชั่วโมงเพื่อวัดความรู้ด้านคำศัพท์ภาษาอังกฤษของนักศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรีชั้นปีที่ 3 (หลักสูตร 2 ปี เทียบโอน) สาขาวิชาภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารสากล คณะวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยีเพื่อแก้ไขข้อผิดพลาดแล้วให้ผู้เชี่ยวชาญตรวจสอบความถูกต้องก่อนนำไปใช้จริง
2. ระหว่างการฟังเพลงจะมีแบบฝึกหัด จำนวน 3 เพลง ให้นักศึกษาฝึกเติมคำศัพท์และเรียนรู้คำศัพท์ก่อนจะถึง post-test
3. กลุ่มตัวอย่างทำการทดสอบหลังเรียน (post-test) โดยใช้แบบทดสอบคำศัพท์ฉบับเดิมที่ใช้เป็นแบบทดสอบก่อนเรียน (pre-test)
4. แจกแบบสอบถามความคิดเห็นจากกลุ่มตัวอย่างจำนวน 1 ชุด นำมาทดสอบกับนักศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรีชั้นปีที่ 3 สาขาวิชาภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารสากล คณะวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี
