         เทรนด์สุดฮิตที่คนไทยร่วมแรงแสดงออกในวันสิ่งแวดล้อมโลก ที่เพิ่งผ่านไป...หนีไม่พ้นปัญหาโลกร้อน ยังคงมีการรณรงค์เรียกร้องให้ทุกคนช่วยกันลดการใช้พลังงานไฟฟ้า เปลี่ยนมาใช้หลอดประหยัด ใช้ถุงผ้าลดการเผาขยะ ลดการเผาผลาญเชื้อเพลิงฟอสซิล รวมทั้งชักชวนกันปลูกป่า ปลูกต้นไม้ 

         เรียกว่าการรณรงค์ทุกอย่าง มุ่งไปที่ให้มนุษย์ลดกิจกรรมที่ก่อให้เกิดก๊าซคาร์บอนไดออกไซด์...หนึ่งในตัวการก๊าซเรือนกระจก มนุษย์เป็นสิ่งที่มีชีวิตที่อาศัยอยู่บนบก กิจกรรมรณรงค์เรียกร้องต่างๆ จึงเน้นให้ความสำคัญกับตัวการทำโลกร้อนที่เกิดขึ้นบนบก จนทำให้เราลืม มองข้าม...ตัวการก่อภาวะโลกร้อนที่เกิดขึ้นในน้ำ

         ก๊าซสำคัญที่รวมตัวกันเป็นก๊าซเรือนกระจกก่อภาวะโลกร้อน ที่มักจะมีการกล่าวขวัญถึงให้เราได้ยินบ่อยๆ และเป็นก๊าซที่มีการรณรงค์ให้หยุด ลด ละ เลิกใช้กันมาตลอดนั่นคือ ก๊าซซีเอฟซีกับก๊าซคาร์บอนไดออกไซด์

         เพราะทุกวันนี้มีน้ำเสียจากแหล่งชุมชนทั่วประเทศ ถูกปล่อยลงแหล่งน้ำสาธารณะวันละประมาณ 14 ล้านคิว...แต่บำบัดได้แค่ 3 ล้านคิวต่อวันเท่านั้นเอง 

         ที่สำคัญตัวเลขนี้เป็นแค่เพียงปริมาณน้ำเสียจากชุมชนที่รวบรวมโดยกรมควบคุมมลพิษเท่านั้น...ไม่ได้รวมน้ำเสียจากภาคอุตสาหกรรม ที่กรมโรงงานอุตสาหกรรมเป็นผู้ดูแลและควบคุม  และไม่ได้รวมน้ำเสียจากภาคเกษตรกรรม ที่จะแสดงอาการให้เห็น เวลาเกิดฝนตกหนัก น้ำท่วม สารเคมีที่ใช้การเกษตรถูกชะลงแหล่งน้ำสาธารณะ ทำให้ปลาในแม่น้ำลำคลองตายลอยเป็นแพ ให้เห็นเป็นข่าวอยู่เสมอ ในระยะหลัง
