มาตรา ๕๓ ผู้ประกอบธุรกิจแฟรนไชส์ซึ่งประกอบธุรกิจอยู่แล้วในวันที่พระราชบัญญัตินี้ ใช้บังคับหากประสงค์จะประกอบธุรกิจนั้นต่อไป ให้จดทะเบียนการประกอบธุรกิจแฟรนไชส์ตามหลักเกณฑ์และวิธีการที่กำหนดในมาตรา ๓๒ ภายในหนึ่งร้อยแปดสิบวันนับตั้งแต่วันที่พระราชบัญญัตินี้ใช้บังคับและใน ระหว่างที่ยังไม่ครบหนึ่งร้อยแปดสิบวันมิให้ถือว่าผู้ประกอบธุรกิจแฟรนไชส์ นั้นประกอบธุรกิจแฟรนไชส์โดยไม่ได้จดทะเบียนตามพระราชบัญญัตินี้
การจดทะเบียนการประกอบธุรกิจแฟรนไชส์ตามวรรคหนึ่ง จะไม่มีผลกระทบต่อการประกอบธุรกิจแฟรนไชส์ที่มีอยู่ก่อนการจดทะเบียน
