พิพิธภัณฑ์บัว ตั้งอยู่ภายในมหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีราชมงคลธัญบุรี เริ่มจัดตั้งขึ้นเมื่อปี 2543 ในการดูแลของสำนักงานโครงการ
ภูมิทัศน์และสำนักงานกิจการพิเศษของมหาวิทยาลัยฯ   ตามโครงการอนุรักษ์พันธุ์กรรมพืชอันเนื่องมาจากพระดำริ สมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดาฯ สยามบรมราชกุมารี    โดยมีเป้าหมายหลักเพื่อรวบรวมพันธุ์บัว ทั้งพันธุ์ไทย พันธุ์เทศและพันธุ์ลูกผสม เพื่อใช้เป็นแหล่งเรียนรู้ ค้นคว้าวิจัย ขยายพันธุ์บัว  เพื่อศึกษาเรื่องการนำส่วนต่าง ๆ ของบัวไปใช้ประโยชน์ อีกทั้งเพื่อเป็นแหล่งท่องเที่ยวเชิงอนุรักษ์  มีการรวบรวมพันธุ์บัวต่าง ๆ ทั้งของไทยและต่างประเทศ และพันธุ์ลูกผสม กว่า 100 สายพันธุ์
