โครงการฉายภาพยนตร์คัดสรร Cinema Diverse : Director’s Choice โดยหอศิลปวัฒนธรรมแห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร เป็นกระบวนการรณรงค์ให้สังคมเปิดรับการชมภาพยนตร์ที่มีเนื้อหาหลากหลาย และเป็นภาพยนตร์ที่ค่อนข้างหาชมยากจากนานาประเทศทั่วโลก โดยในการคัดเลือกได้มีการผสมผสานภาพยนตร์จากทุกภูมิภาคเข้าด้วยกัน ทางผู้คัดเลือกภาพยนตร์ได้เน้นที่การคัดสรรจากเนื้อหาของภาพยนตร์ และคุณภาพของการสร้างงานภาพยนตร์เป็นหลัก ทั้งนี้การฉายภาพยนตร์นั้น มีจุดมุ่งหมายอื่นนอกเหนือไปจากความบันเทิง ยังเป็นการให้ความรู้แก่ผู้เข้าชมในด้านเนื้อหาทางวัฒนธรรมที่มีความแตกต่างหลากหลาย และเป็นอีกช่องทางการเรียนรู้ด้านวัฒนธรรมในแง่มุมที่ภาพยนตร์เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของวัฒนธรรม การจัดโครงการฉายภาพยนตร์คัดสรร ยังเป็นการเปิดโอกาสให้สังคมไทยและกลุ่มผู้รับชมที่สนใจในงานด้านภาพยนตร์ได้มีโอกาสพบปะและพูดคุย ซักถามข้อสงสัย และแลกเปลี่ยนมุมมองระหว่างผู้ชมและผู้สร้างงานภาพยนตร์ เกิดการเชื่อมโยงระหว่างผู้สร้างสรรค์งานและผู้เสพงานศิลปะในเชิงของภาพยนตร์ เพื่อให้เกิดปฏิสัมพันธ์กันในเชิงของการเสพสื่อศิลปะอีกรูปแบบหนึ่ง

การจัดโครงการฉายภาพยนตร์คัดสรร Cinema Diverse : Director’s Choice โดยหอศิลปวัฒนธรรมแห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร มุ่งเน้นการเปิดประสบการณ์ชมภาพยนตร์ที่ค่อนข้างหาชมยาก โดยจะเชิญผู้กำกับภาพยนตร์ชาวไทยที่มีชื่อเสียงโด่งดัง มีผลงานเป็นที่รู้จัก มาคัดสรรภาพยนตร์ที่ชื่นชอบ โดยภาพยนตร์ที่ได้เลือกสรรนั้นมีเนื้อหาและคุณภาพของการสร้างงานภาพยนตร์ที่มีความโดดเด่นน่าสนใจ โดยผู้กำกับภาพยนตร์ชาวไทยจะร่วมพูดคุยเกี่ยวกับภาพยนตร์ที่จัดฉายกับผู้สร้างภาพยนตร์ชาวต่างชาติที่หมุนเวียนกันมาให้ข้อมูลที่เป็นประโยชน์และน่าสนใจในแต่ละครั้งของการจัดกิจกรรมฉายภาพยนตร์ด้วย

สรุปผลการดำเนินงาน
การดำเนินงานในโครงการฉายภาพยนตร์คัดสรรนั้นได้รับการสนับสนุนจากสถานทูตต่าง ๆ ที่ผู้กำกับภาพยนตร์ไทยได้คัดสรรภาพยนตร์ของแต่ละประเทศมาให้การสนับสนุนในการจัดกิจกรรม โดยเฉพาะศูนย์วัฒนธรรมเกาหลีที่ได้สนับสนุนทั้งกิจกรรมที่จัด ณ หอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ และการจัดกิจกรรมต่อเนื่อง ณ ศูนย์วัฒนธรรมเกาหลี
นอกจากนี้การจัดกิจกรรมภาพยนตร์คัดสรรนั้นยังส่งผลให้เกิดการขยายกลุ่มผู้ชมภาพยนตร์ทางเลือก และขยายโอกาสในการเปิดรับประสบการณ์ในการเรียนรู้การทำงานกับเหล่าผู้กำกับภาพยนตร์ไทยที่มีแนวการทำงานที่หลากหลายให้แก่กลุ่มผู้ชมคนไทยอีกด้วย

ระหว่างวันที่ 3 พฤษภาคม – 14 มิถุนายน 2557
แนวคิดของโครงการอบรมวรรณกรรม Bangkok Creative Writing Workshop นั้นเชื่อมโยงจากวัตถุประสงค์ของหอศิลปวัฒนธรรมแห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร ในการให้การศึกษาด้านศิลปวัฒนธรรมแก่ชุมชนและประชาชน ด้วยองค์ความรู้อันหลากหลาย โดยโครงการนี้ส่งเสริมเรื่องการอบรมวรรณกรรม โดยมีกลุ่มนักเขียนและวิทยากรผู้มีความรู้ความเชี่ยวชาญในแวดวงวรรณกรรมมาร่วมกันสร้างหลักสูตรสำหรับการอบรมที่ครอบคลุมความรู้ด้านวรรณกรรม เพื่อสร้างสรรค์นักเขียนหน้าใหม่ที่จะร่วมสร้างสังคมแห่งการอ่านและเขียน ในรูปแบบเรื่องสั้น นวนิยาย และบทกวี

โดยการอบรมในครั้งนี้จะส่งเสริมให้เกิดการต่อยอดความรู้จากวิทยากร และนำผลงานของผู้เข้าร่วมการอบรมออกสู่สังคมผ่านรูปแบบของหนังสือเล่ม ทั้งนี้เป็นการนำเสนอผลงานด้านศิลปวัฒนธรรมที่แวดล้อมในชีวิตของคนในสังคมปัจจุบัน และเกิดการเชื่อมโยงระหว่างผู้เขียนและผู้อ่าน เพื่อให้เกิดปฏิสัมพันธ์กันในเชิงของการเสพสื่อศิลปะอีกรูปแบบหนึ่ง

โครงการอบรมวรรณกรรม Bangkok Creative Writing Workshop III หรือ ค่ายเขียนงานสร้างสรรค์แห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร ครั้งที่ 3 คือการสานต่อโครงการอบรมผู้มีความสนใจเรียนรู้และฝึกฝนการเขียนงานวรรณกรรมสร้างสรรค์ที่ได้ริเริ่มขึ้นในปี 2555 และมีผู้ให้ความสนใจเป็นจำนวนมาก ในครั้งนี้หัวใจหลักยังคงเป็นเพื่อให้ความรู้ ชี้แนะ สนทนาแลกเปลี่ยน เกี่ยวกับการเขียนวรรณกรรมสร้างสรรค์ ผ่านการศึกษาตัวบทที่คัดสรรโดยวิทยากรผู้มีความชำนาญด้านวรรณกรรมแตกต่างกันไป ผสมผสานเกร็ดทางประวัติศาสตร์วรรณกรรมสมัยใหม่ของไทยและเทศ อ่านผลงานวรรณกรรมชิ้นโดดเด่นของนักเขียนหลากหลาย และลงมือเขียนงานของตนเองในลักษณะเรื่องสั้น คนละ 1 เรื่อง โดยจะได้รับคำวิจารณ์และการแนะนำของวิทยากรและผู้ร่วมชั้นเรียน จนสำเร็จเสร็จสิ้นเมื่อจบโครงการ ผลงานของนักเรียนทุกคนจะได้รับการบรรณาธิการและพิมพ์รวมเล่มในวารสาร “สะกด” ซึ่งพิมพ์ขึ้นสำหรับโครงการนี้โดยเฉพาะ

ระยะเวลาในการเรียนทั้งหมด 35 ชั่วโมง แบ่งเป็น 7 เสาร์ เสาร์ละ 5 ชั่วโมง วิทยากรหลักคือปราบดา หยุ่น
ทั้งนี้โครงการฯ จะเปิดรับเยาวชนอายุ 18 – 30 ปี เพื่อเข้าอบรมด้านวรรณกรรมโดยเปิดรับสมัครและให้ผู้สมัครส่งผลงานเขียนเพื่อรับการพิจารณา หลังจากคณะกรรมการพิจารณาและประกาศผลแล้วจะเริ่มดำเนินการอบรมในวันที่ 4 พฤษภาคม 2557 – 14 มิถุนายน 2557 ในการอบรมแต่ละครั้งจะประกอบด้วยการบรรยายหรือเสวนาในช่วงเช้า และช่วงบ่ายเป็นการพิจารณางานเขียนของผู้เข้ารับการอบรมเพื่อพัฒนาผลงานให้ดียิ่งขึ้น ทั้งนี้รายละเอียดหลักสูตรประกอบด้วย
