การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อศึกษาความคิดเห็นของนักศึกษามหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีราชมงคลธัญบุรี ในแนวทางการแก้ปัญหาการนำเสนอข่าวโทรทัศน์ที่ไม่เป็นกลางในปัจจุบัน ผลการวิจัยพบว่า แนวทางการแก้ปัญหาการนำเสนอข่าวโทรทัศน์ที่ไม่เป็นในปัจจุบัน คือ 1) ผู้ดำเนินรายการข่าวโทรทัศน์ควรนำเสนอข่าวที่เป็นข้อเท็จจริงตรงไปตรงมาไม่ปกปิดข่าวหรือบิดเบือนข่าว 2) ผู้ดำเนินรายการข่าวโทรทัศน์ควรนำเสนอข่าวอย่างยุติธรรม ไม่ลำเอียง ไม่เข้าข้างฝ่ายใดฝ่ายหนึ่ง 3) ผู้ดำเนินรายการข่าวโทรทัศน์ควรมีความซื่อสัตย์หรือจริยธรรม และจรรยาบรรณต่อวิชาชีพของตนเอง 4) ผู้ดำเนินรายการข่าวโทรทัศน์ไม่ควรแทรกแซงความคิดเห็นหรือความรู้สึกส่วนตัวลงไปในข่าวมากเกินไป 5) มีกฎหมายควบคุมและลงโทษการกระทำที่ไม่เป็นกลางของสื่อโทรทัศน์โดยตรง 6) มีหน่วยงานหรือมาตรการตรวจสอบสื่อมวลชนที่พฤติกรรมที่ไม่เป็นกลาง 7) สื่อโทรทัศน์ไม่ควรมีการแทรกแซงจากหน่วยงานอื่น เช่น นักธุรกิจหรือนักการเมือง 8) หากผู้ดำเนินรายการข่าวโทรทัศน์มีพฤติกรรมการนำเสนอข่าวที่ไม่เป็นกลางประชาชนสามารถรวบรวมรายชื่อถอดถอนได้ และ 9) ห้ามให้พรรคการเมือง นักการเมืองหรือกลุ่มบุคคลทางการเมืองมีสถานีโทรทัศน์หรือหุ้นส่วนในสถานีโทรทัศน์เป็นของตนเอง
