บทคัดย่อ ปริญญานิพนธ์เล่มนี้ได้ศึกษาการพัฒนาหนังสือเสียงสำหรับผู้พิการทางสายตา โดยใช้เทคนิคการบีบเสียงในการเล่าเรื่องและสร้างเสียงประกอบที่ผลิตขึ้นเอง วัตถุประสงค์ในการศึกษาการผลิตหนังสือเสียงสำหรับผู้พิการทางสายตาโดยใช้เสียงประกอบที่ผลิตขึ้นเองและเทคนิคการบีบเสียง เพื่อศึกษาความพึงพอใจของผู้พิการทางสายตาที่มีต่อหนังสือเสียงที่ผลิตขึ้น ในการศึกษาครั้งนี้ได้ผลิตหนังสือเสียงระบบเดซี่เรื่อง “ชีวิตทนง” ความยาวประมาณ 4 ชั่วโมง จากหนังสืออ่านนอกเวลา ซึ่งแตกต่างจากหนังสือเสียงทั่วไป วิธีการศึกษาการผลิตหนังสือเสียง โดยบันทึกเสียงบรรยายในห้องบันทึกเสียง และบันทึกเสียงประกอบที่ผลิตขึ้นเองและเสียงประกอบที่บันทึกจากเหตุการณ์จริง ตัดต่อเสียงด้วยโปรแกรม Adobe Audition และใส่เทคนิคการบีบเสียงโดยใช้โปรแกรม Nero และ Audacity แล้วนำไฟล์เสียงเข้าระบบเดซี ด้วยโปรแกรม Obi เพื่อนำไปเปิดให้กลุ่มตัวอย่างจำนวน 15 คน ซึ่งเลือกกลุ่มตัวอย่างแบบเจาะจง โดยให้กลุ่มตัวอย่างรับฟังหนังสือเสียง และผู้เชี่ยวชาญทั้ง 3 ด้าน จากวิธีการสัมภาษณ์แบบเจาะลึก ทำการประเมินคุณภาพหนังสือเสียง แล้วสรุปผลด้วยค่าสถิติอย่างง่าย ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ผู้ฟังมีความพึงพอใจต่อหนังสือเสียง เรื่อง ชีวิตทะนง อยู่ในเกณฑ์ มาก และความเหมาะสมในด้านเสียง อยู่ในเกณฑ์ มาก ด้านการประเมินคุณภาพในส่วนของเสียงที่ใช้ในหนังสือเสียงมีความเหมาะสมในการทำหนังสือเสียง และเทคนิคการบีบเสียงมีความน่าสนใจในระดับ มาก แสดงว่า ผู้ฟังหนังสือเสียงพึงพอใจต่อหนังสือเสียงตามที่ผู้ศึกษาคาดหวังไว้ คำสำคัญ: หนังสือเสียง, ผู้พิการทางสายตา, คนตาบอด, เสียงประกอบ, อักษรเบรลล์
